Assistant Controller Accounting Gunnison Valley Hospital Gunnison Utah FullTime or PartTime Why choose Gunnison Valley Hospital Rural Area with Outstanding Outdoor Fun Flexible Schedules Collaborative Teams Rural Hospital Setting Full Benefits Medical Dental Vision Life Insurance and LongTerm Disability Generous Retirement Pension Plan Through URS Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Accounting or equivalent Two years accounting experience required Requires a broad knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles Must have proficiency in business software applications including but not limited to oMicrosoft Office Suite Word Excel Access and PowerPoint In addition must be able to learn the other software programs specific to GVH Analytical and problemsolving skills required Ability to analyze accounting data and prepare reports Responsibilities Assistant Controller under the general direction of the Chief Financial Officer CFO is responsible for assisting with the activities of the Accounting Department preparation of month end journal entries maintenance of the general ledger including account reconciliations financial packages subsidiary ledgers cash and bank accounts reconciliation other accounting functions reports and analysis as assigned support accounts payable payroll accounts receivable and budgeting preparation.
The Assistant Controller develops andor implements policies and procedures related to area of responsibility and recommends policy changes to the CFO.
